We are excited to inform you that, as of 29th July 2021, Cheltenham based environmental services company, Urbaser Ltd, completed the acquisition of J&B Recycling.

About Urbaser Ltd

Urbaser Ltd is a leading integrated waste and resource management company, providing waste treatment and municipal services solutions to a range of local authorities, businesses and the general public across the UK.

J&B Recycling boasts a significant portfolio of local authority contracts as well as over 1,600 trade contracts servicing nearly 700 commercial customers within the region.

The acquisition of J&B Recycling provides Urbaser Ltd with a network of four materials recycling and processing facilities, managing over 180,000 tonnes per annum. Forecasted revenue for the year ended 31 March 2021 was approximately £20 million.

This latest success follows the acquisition of five waste management contracts from Amey which was announced earlier in 2021.

Its parent company is the third largest environmental services provider in Europe, and also operates in the USA, Asia, North Africa and South America. In the UK, Urbaser Ltd currently provides environmental services to over 14 local authorities and 4.5 million people.

In order to ensure the smooth integration of J&B Recycling into the Urbaser Group, Vikki Jackson-Smith will remain with the business and continue to lead the existing J&B senior management team.

J&B will operate as its own brand within the Urbaser Group and will retain the same company registration and VAT numbers.
