Employment and economic opportunities for the local community
At J&B we believe in engaging, respecting and supporting the community in which we work and strive to provide employment and economic opportunities in the areas where we operate. We are active in the local community raising awareness of the benefits of recycling, working in partnership with local schools.
In just over a decade, J & B Recycling have donated around £70,000 to fund care and support for local patients and families who are affected by incurable illnesses. J & B have supported in a number of ways, including their long standing membership of our Guild of Patrons, event participation, sponsorship and staff fundraising.

Supporting local charities and initiatives
We actively support a number of local initiatives which benefit the local community.
Catcote Academy & Sixth Form College & Catcote Futures have worked with J & B Recycling over the past five years, they have offered invaluable support in a variety of ways, including offering work experience placements, site visits and supporting our careers programme by mock interviews and delivering assemblies to raise awareness about the jobs available in the recycling and environmental sector. They have also kindly sponsored our “ECO’ Project, this was a great activity where students from our 6th form created pieces of Art from waste and recyclable materials they collected form the beach and within their wider community. We really appreciate the ongoing support from all the staff at J & B Recycling and we shall look forward to continuing this partnership for many years to come.

A brighter future for young people in special education
We have a close relationship with Catcote Academy & Catcote Futures (Special Education School and College)- Our CEO is a Governor of the school and an active supporter. We work with one of their students with Learning Disabilities. She has been coming to our offices for almost two years to gain work experience and confidence to prepare her for the real working environment, which has been a fantastic achievement so far.
