Recycling Education
J&B Recycling have been operating in the North East of England since 1998 and we love to support local community! One of the best ways we can do this is by helping share our passion for recycling to educate young people. We offer FREE tours of our award winning Material Recycling Facility (MRF) in Hartlepool or can send someone out to your school to deliver a fun, educational workshop about recycling. We can also attend careers fairs or visit schools to talk about career opportunities within the waste management industry.
Children from across the North East of England are invited to take part in our competition to design a recycling poster that will be distributed to schools across the region to display in their classrooms to help raise awareness about recycling. The winner will receive a £50 gift voucher for themselves plus a £100 donation to their school. To enter, simply download and print the template, then send your entry (or entries) to J&B Recycling, Thomlinson Road, Hartlepool, TS25 1NS before 30th June 2023.
Download Entry FormWe would love to invite your school or youth club to take part in a tour of our award winning Material Recovery Facility in Hartlepool. Send a small delegation to discover more about the recycling process and report back to their school or class, or we can cater for full classes. PPE can be provided for children and adults by prior arrangement. We can also provide a comprehensive risk assessment prior to your visit.
We can visit your school or youth group to deliver fun, educational workshops about recycling. Children (and adults) will leave inspired and better informed about what they can and cannot recycle. Our workshops are designed to support the national curriculum and are tailored to suit the age and individual needs of students.
We can work with your school, college or community group to create a bespoke package tailored to your students needs. The most popular format is for us to receive 2-4 students for a tour of the MRF, who become 'Recycling Ambassadors' for your school. They can then go back and tell the school in their own words about what they have discovered. We can then follow this up with a talk delivered to the full school at assembly, or an educational workshop delivered by us to individual year groups.
If you would like to discuss how we can support your school, college or community group with recycling education, please get in touch.
