Since joining the J&B Recycling family in 2019 as a Transport Coordinator, Robbie Williams has been an integral part of our team, ensuring that our day-to-day operations run seamlessly across the North East. Working closely alongside Daniel, our Transport Manager, Robbie has brought a wealth of experience and a passion for excellence to his role.

Before embarking on his journey with J&B Recycling, Robbie honed his skills in client relationships and meeting customer needs while working in the sales department at Leader Online, a home improvement store. His interest in logistics led him to the transport management sector, where he eventually progressed to the position of Logistics Manager within the same company. Seeking a new challenge and a company that aligns with his environmental values, Robbie found the perfect fit with J&B Recycling, where he has become an invaluable member of our transport team.

In his role as Transport Coordinator, Robbie's responsibilities are deeply rooted in planning and coordination. Robbie interacts with all departments, from assisting Accounts with queries on jobs to collaborating with Sales on pricing. He plays a central role in planning the bulk haulage of incoming loads, from speaking to sites and getting their requirements to booking jobs. Robbie also liaises with third-party hauliers and addresses any staff issues that may arise, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Robbie brings a personal commitment to sustainability to everything he does. Originally from South Africa, Robbie moved to the UK at the age of 10 and has since made environmental responsibility a priority in his personal life. Alongside his wife Kamila, who is also a part of the J&B Recycling team, Robbie actively seeks ways to reduce their environmental footprint. From owning a multi-fuel burner to reduce gas consumption to installing solar panels to save electricity, Robbie embodies our shared commitment to environmental stewardship both at work and at home.

You might have noticed that Robbie shares his name with a famous musician! But while he's not out there belting out chart-topping hits, he's definitely making a name for himself right here at J&B Recycling. With a name that carries a legacy of success, Robbie brings his own special energy and charm to the team.
