J&B Recycling’s accounts team welcomed another new employee earlier this year.

Farhat Bi joined the team as a Credit Controller in February and despite a rollercoaster of a start with the national lockdown is enjoying working in a vibrant company environment.

Living in Hartlepool with a new, young family Farhat is pleased to be getting back into work after the birth of her 5-year-old and 2-year-old sons.

“My first day was only two weeks before the lockdown but I’ve been back in the office for a couple of months now and I’m really enjoying it. It is a nice company and the accounts team are lovely, everyone is really lovely,” she said.

Having always worked in credit control, Farhat finds the role very rewarding as she can see results straight away.

“It’s quite a visual job and without anyone having to praise me I can see when the money and debts are coming in successfully,” she said.

Vikki Jackson-Smith, CEO at J&B Recycling, said: “Farhat has settled well in her role within the J&B team. She is a vital part of the continuously growing process here in the company.

“We look forward to working with Farhat and using her expertise to further develop her role.”

As credit controller, the role includes contacting businesses to follow up when payments are due, running reports to keep track of payments, answering any queries and ensuring that payments are strictly made within customer credit terms.

At home, Farhat loves baking and cake decorating and vows to start bringing in more cake for the J&B team; watch this space.
