Hartlepool's business community is showing its support for local charity Alice House Hospice, by participating in their Fire Walk 2024. J&B Recycling is delighted to support the event as headline sponsor.

Set for February 16th 2024 at Hartlepool Rugby Club, the event involves walking over hot coals, reaching temperatures of up to 550 degrees Celsius. It's a unique challenge that encourages individuals to face their fears and step out of their comfort zones. Successfully completing a fire walk can provide a significant confidence boost, fostering a sense of achievement and empowerment.

As well as sponsoring the event, four of our team members are challenging themselves to take part in the event. Participants are trained by UK Fire Walk, ensuring safety during the event. With an entry fee of £25 and a minimum sponsorship goal of £125, the event aims to raise significant funds for the hospice, demonstrating the practical impact of Hartlepool's business sector on local charities.

This participation is not just about the physical challenge; it's a gesture of solidarity with Alice House Hospice, a Hartlepool-based charity that provides specialised care for individuals with life-limiting illnesses. As a Hartlepool-based business, J&B Recycling has proudly supported Alice House Hospice for many years.
