A huge congratulations to our Marketing Coordinator, Izzy, who has successfully completed the first year of her degree apprenticeship, passing with flying colours!
Izzy is studying towards a BA in Marketing through The Development Manager (TDM) and the University of Staffordshire, combining her studies with her day-to-day role at J&B Recycling.
Izzy first joined us on a work placement before going on to complete her Level 3 Content Creator Apprenticeship with Baltic Apprenticeships, achieving a distinction. She was promoted to Marketing Coordinator in January 2025 and has continued to develop her skills and take on more responsibility within the business.
From managing social media and creating website content to supporting marketing campaigns, events and community engagement activities, Izzy has become a valued member of the team. It's been lovely to see her confidence grow as she's gained more experience, and her latest achievement is a reflection of the hard work and commitment she puts into everything she does.
Ingrid Brough-Williams, Marketing Manager at J&B Recycling, said: "I'm absolutely delighted for Izzy. I saw something in her when she first joined us on a work placement, and I was so pleased when we had the opportunity to bring her into the team.
"She's a real asset to the business. She's hardworking, creative and enthusiastic, and she's always willing to get involved and have a go at something new. It's been great watching her develop over the past few years, both professionally and personally, and I'm incredibly proud of what she's achieved.
"Apprenticeships are something we really value at J&B. They provide a fantastic opportunity for people to develop their skills and gain qualifications whilst building real experience in the workplace. Izzy is a great example of just how successful that approach can be.
"Being part of a much larger organisation, alongside our colleagues at Cumbria Waste Group and across FCC Environment, also opens up lots of opportunities for learning, collaboration and career development. I'm excited to see where Izzy's career takes her, and I'm looking forward to supporting her through the next two years of her degree."
With her first year successfully completed, Izzy now has two years remaining before achieving her BA in Marketing.
We're incredibly proud of everything she's accomplished so far and look forward to seeing her continue to grow and develop her career with us.
Well done, Izzy – thoroughly deserved! 👏
