Our open and enclosed skips are suitable for a range of general waste and recycling material types including heavy and bulky materials, inert materials from construction and demolition operations and dry non-hazardous wastes. Our most popular range includes 8-yard open skips, 10-yard enclosed skips, 18-yard open, 35-yard open and 40-yard open hooklifters/ROROs. Other options are available upon request.

How do I determine the right skip size for my project?

Our experienced team will be on hand to advise you about the most appropriate size skip or container for your project. We will need an idea of the volume of waste you need to dispose of. Our most popular range includes 8-yard open skips, 10-yard enclosed skips, 18-yard open, 35-yard open and 40-yard open hooklifters/ROROs.

Do I need a permit for skip hire?

If the skip will be placed on public property such as a road or footpath, you will need a permit from your local council. We can assist with the permit application process if needed.

What Waste Can I Put In My Skip?

The following information acts as general guidance for what you can and can not put in your Skip from J&B Recycling.

What's Allowed:

  • Non-hazardous waste.

What's Not Allowed:

  • No soil, plasterboard, tyres, mattresses, gas canisters, hazardous waste or drums of liquid may be deposited in containers unless specifically arranged with written consent of J&B Recycling Ltd.
  • Examples of hazardous waste includes fridge freezers, asbestos, batteries, paints, tyres, TVs.
  • If in doubt, please don't hesitate to contact us.
  • Non-permitted waste deposited in skips will be returned and/or charged to the customer at an additional cost.

How Long Does It Take To Get A Skip Delivered?

We can generally offer next working day delivery if you need a skip urgently. In most cases, if not urgent, we can get your skip delivered to site in as little as 3-4 working days.

How Long Do I Keep The Skip For?

The length of skip hire is 7-days as standard. However, if you would like to keep the skip for a longer period of time, please let us know and we can arrange this for you.
