Social Responsibility
At J&B we believe in engaging, respecting and supporting the community in which we work and strive to provide employment and economic opportunities in the areas where we operate.
As part of this process we have entered into a minimum 3 year partnership with Hartlepool and District Hospice as one of their Guild of Patrons members. The Guild of Patrons provide a regular stream of funding to the hospice to help with their provision of inpatient, day care, counselors and social support for patients with life limiting illnesses, their families and carers.
The Hospice’s dedicated team is focused on helping families overcome the physical, emotional, social and spiritual challenges that illnesses such as cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease and heart failure can bring.
J&B feel it is important to contribute to the local community, which will benefit our business, in terms of customer and employee retention, plus customers and employees themselves who live in Hartlepool and East Durham.
