Waste Management Services

We have a selection of containers for hire including wheelie bins, skips and bulk containers (roll on offs) to handle general waste and materials pre-sorted for recycling. Upon collection the waste is taken to our licensed Waste Transfer Station to enable the materials to be sorted where necessary for recycling. We have an excellent recycling rate that enables the constant achievement of our aim of diverting as much waste away from landfill.

Commercial Glass Collections

J&B Recycling operate a weekly collection service to facilitate the recycling of glass bottles from pubs, clubs, restaurants and hotels throughout the North East of England. This service is provided through the use of various sized wheeled bins, supplied by J&B Recycling, that allow our clients to separate their glass waste from their general rubbish. The scheme has operated successfully now for 6 years and has diverted approximately 7,000 tonnes of glass bottles per annum away from Landfill.

A new initiative we have introduced enables the recycling of other types of glass, such as plate glass from windows. This is implemented by utilising the resources of our existing skip hire service.

Co-mingled Material Handling and Collection Services

Our Material Recycling Facility in Hartlepool has enabled the development of partnerships with a number of Local Authorities. We have the machinery, skills and knowledge to enable the separation and sorting of mixed recyclable materials into individual streams such as paper, cardboard, cans and plastic bottles.This facility contributes environmentally as it offers a more economical and sustainable option for Local Authority kerbside collection schemes. 

The sorting facility also allows for the collection of  commercial recyclable materials in a single trip by a single vehicle in a co-mingled format, thus helping to reduce the Carbon Footprint for the service.

Site Management Services

J&B provide management, labour and vehicles to service Local Authority Household Waste Recycling Centres. We have achieved excellent recycling rates of up to 70% of all materials received by offering high levels of customer service and assistance to members of the public using the sites.
